Louise Krisko Education and Travel Support

The Louise Krisko Education and Travel Support is named to honor Louise Krisko, the first President of APIC MN. Education and Travel Support was set up to enhance the education and knowledge of APIC MN's membership by providing financial support to an APIC MN member for APIC Annual Conference attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Current APIC MN Member

  • Currently practicing infection and epidemiology

  • Has not previously attended APIC Annual Conference (exception APIC International Conferences held in Minneapolis)

  • Willingness to share APIC Conference experience with APIC MN membership at large

The following costs are covered:

  • Early Bird Registration fees for APIC Annual conference

  • Travel expenses, including accommodations, airfare and ground travel, to and from hotel and airport

Past Heroes of Infection Prevention

Each year, APIC National presents 12 awards to members who are recognized for the development and application of innovative infection prevention programs.

These individuals are infection preventionists who have successfully reduced infections, raised awareness, and improved the health and well-being of patients, healthcare workers, and the public.  

APIC celebrates these individuals by bestowing the Heroes of Infection Prevention Award.
